Body composition more important than BMI

The BMI can give a false impression of the nature of health. There are more important metrics.

A study on the ratio of body fat mass and lean mass to total mortality, published earlier in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, is open to all, and the results confirm what most Breaking Muscle readers already know: is not a good indicator of wellbeing or physical fitness. In the study, higher fat mass was associated with a 50% higher risk of death compared to lower fat mass.
